I also backed my way into a teaching job. When asked a question in the interview, one specifically about how to handle a situation with a student, I just responded that I wasn’t sure. I’d never taught before. My dean still reminds me of that. And calls it the Randy standard. Being real and honest is a good quality apparently. Some things are just meant to be. Thanks for sharing all this. It makes me smile at a time when those are hard to come by.
